AI MEDIA AWARD 2025

With the AI Media Award, SSIA Smile Swiss Influence Award and AMA AI Media Agency jointly launch a new format that honors groundbreaking projects in the field of AI-generated content. The AI Media Award is embedded within the SIA platform, which has been recognizing authentic personalities and innovative brands since 2019 — those who stand out through digital creativity, community engagement, and meaningful content.

The AI Media Award is dedicated to promoting a new generation of AI-based content creators and serves as both a showcase and a bridge between the creative avant-garde and the advertising and media industry. The award actively contributes to the visibility and further development of AI-driven media art — with a strong focus on quality, responsibility, and innovation.

This award offers a professional and international platform for outstanding AI media productions — and with it, the opportunity to establish a lasting presence in the advertising industry.

Jurors 2025

The AMA – AI Media Award is judged by a top-class jury of recognized experts from the advertising and production industry. The panel is made up of leading experts from various disciplines who use their experience to recognize outstanding AI-supported advertising contributions.

The jury brings together creative directors from international agencies, directors and VFX artists from film and media production, AI developers and journalists and trade critics who analyze and evaluate the use of AI in the advertising world.

Eligible for submission are audiovisual short formats with a maximum duration of five minutes that showcase the innovative use of AI technologies in the conception, design, or production of media-relevant content within the six main categories.

FAQ 2025

Both individuals and professional agencies or media production companies are eligible to participate in the AI Media Award 2025. Submissions may be entered either in the participant’s own name or on behalf of a company.

Each person or agency may submit one work.

Participants from around the world are eligible to enter.
Entries must be submitted in English or German, or include English subtitles.

The AI Media Award 2025 honors short-form audiovisual content created and published in 2025, in which AI tools played a key role in the concept, design, or technical execution. Six main categories are available:

  1. AI Advertising
    Commercials, social media clips, or campaign videos using AI creatively in brand storytelling, communication, or visual strategy.
  2. AI Animation
    Animated shorts, including cartoons, manga, or motion graphics.
  3. AI Art
    Artistic or experimental works using AI to create new visual forms — from digital image composition to conceptual video art.
  4. AI Fashion
    Virtual fashion presentations, such as digital runway shows, fashion editorials, or stylized avatars created using AI tools in styling, staging, or production.
  5. AI Music Clip
    Music videos that focus on visual storytelling — narrative interpretations of existing songs. The song may also have been produced with AI, but judging will focus on the visual realization.
  6. AI Narration
    Narrative formats such as short films, documentary miniatures, or fictional scenes that incorporate AI in the storyline, visual language, or dramaturgy.

Submissions must be made via a public web link (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, TikTok). A direct file upload is not required.

Please observe the following guidelines:
• Submissions accepted only through the official form
• Only single works allowed — series or episodes cannot be accepted
• All fields in the form must be completed, including a short description (max. 600 characters)
• AI-generated elements (e.g., visuals, sound, editing, voice-over) must be clearly marked
• The submitted link must remain publicly accessible (no login or password required) until at least the end of September 2025

Although no files are uploaded initially, the link should point to a video meeting the following specifications:

• Aspect ratio: 16:9 or 9:16
• Resolution: 4K: 3840×2160 or 2560×1440 HD: 1920×1080
• Recommended formats: .MP4 or .MOV
• Maximum duration: 5 minutes

Important: If shortlisted, the video file (MP4/MOV, max. 2 GB) must be submitted via SwissTransfer. Upload instructions will be sent to finalists by September 8, 2025. Entries without on-time upload will be disqualified.

No. Submission via the online form is completely free of charge.

After an internal preselection, a shortlist will be compiled and announced on the social media channels of SIA and AMA. The community can then vote online, contributing 50% of the total score.

The five top-rated entries per category will be officially nominated on September 8. All nominees will be notified by email and featured on the websites www.ai-media-award.com, www.swissinfluence.ch, and corresponding social media channels.

The evaluation takes place in three stages:

  1. Internal preselection by the curatorial board
  2. Professional jury evaluation based on the following criteria:
    – Creativity & originality
    – Concept & idea
    – Technical execution
    – Innovation in the use of AI
    – Impact & relevance
  3. Community voting (50% weighting)
